Kitchen Trends for 2019

It's widely known that Kitchens and Bathrooms sell houses and the Kitchen is the heart of the home so if you're currently renovating or thinking about an update to your Kitchen, here are a few trends to keep in mind that you may see over the coming year.

1. Colour Blocks

A coloured island bench in a Kitchen has been around for a little while now, in particular in Hamptons style designs but you'll start seeing this trend pop up more and more in all styles and designs over the coming year. It's a striking design element that allows you to bring in pops of colour throughout an open plan scheme.

2. Texture

Introducing texture via your splashback is coming back with a vengence but the key is to keep it as subtle as possible. Use the same tone, shape and/or direction of tiling if you want to nail this trend.

3. Mixed Splashbacks

We've all seen terrible, terrible examples of a mixed tile splashback but when done well, it can add incredible character and interest to an otherwise neutral kitchen. As with the texture trend, avoid going crazy with too many colours, keep the tiling within the same colour family and you can't go wrong!
