How to: Make a Christmas Wreath

As Christmas draws nearer, I thought I would show you how easy it is to create your own Christmas Wreath for your front door.

All you need is a wreath (small, medium or large), I bought mine from Spotlight and it is 45cm in diametre, scrap fabric/ribbon, scissors and a beautiful bow to finish it off (also purchased from Spotlight).

Wreath, Fabric/Ribbon & Scissors... All you need!

Start by cutting your fabric into strips, I would suggest around 4cm Wide x 30cm Long. Once this is done, start tying each strip of fabric/ribbon around your wreath and securing with a double knot. If you have excess fabric/ribbon once tied, you can even this up at the end. Keep repeating this step all the way around the wreath, ensuring each knot is as close together as you can get it to make the wreath as full as possible.

Once the wreath is completely covered you can tidy up the ends of each piece of fabric/ribbon to make it even. Allow as little or as much as you want.

Complete the wreath by adding a ribbon or string to hang it and a beautiful big bow. This year I went with a silver glitter bow, perfect for a little Christmas sparkle!
