Flowers

It's only appropriate as we head into Spring that we start talking about flowers. I've got to admit, they're a certain weakness of mine... and I always love to have a fresh bunch in my room to brighten me up. Coming from a family where my mother is a Horticulturalist and my father is an avid gardener, plants but in particular their flowers have always played a massive part in my life.

It's amazing what can be expressed with a simple bouquet of flowers. Not many people know the meaning of flowers, and what that bouquet you're giving your Great Aunt Mildred could mean, so i'm attempting to help by listing some common flowers used in bouquets along with their meanings (below);

Agapanthus - Secret Love
Anemone - Forsaken, Sincerity
Bluebell - Humility
Daffodil - Respect, Regard, Unrequited Love, You're the Only One
Lily (White) - Virginity, Purity, Majesty, It's Heavenly To Be With You
Peony - Shame, Happy Life, Happy Marriage
Poppy (Red) - Pleasure
Rose (Red) - Love, I Love You
Rose (Pink) - Perfect Happiness, Please Believe Me
